Flag, 24th Infantry, 44 stars. Flag appears in shape of almost a perfect square. Top, bottom and right sides are bordered with gold fringe (small twisted threads) about 2.5" wide. 13 red and white stripes. 7th stripe reds in white "24th REGIMENT, US INFANTRY". 44 white stars sewn over blue background. Flag worn through in several small areas. Moth holes in areas. Two leather tabs on pole ends.

Cap, field, US Spanish-American War, enlisted man's. Blue felt cap with airholes on each side. Brim of hat has been torn a little with cotton fibers showing. Brim also appears to have melted - 60%. One button of an eagle on each side attaches the visor to cap. Front of cap has brass badge of " Co. H of the 40th Infantry Regiment". Insignia numbers have been removed and replaced with 24th Infantry. Color blue/black. Conditon fair. Maker is B. Pasquale Co.

Indian Wars Medal - Medal, Indian Wars

Medal, Service Against Hostile Indians, 1865 to 1891 (reproduction). A bronze medallion, centered is an Indian mounted on a horse. The Indian is wearing a war headdress and carrying a spear. The Indian and horse are both facing right looking at the medal. At top around the outside edge the inscription, "Indian Wars". At bottom center is a buffalo skull, on either side of the skull are arrowheads going two thirds the way up outside edge of the medal. Reverse side has an eagle centered facing right perched on a cannon supported by crossed flags, rifles, Indian shield, spear, and a quiver of arrows; below this the inscription, "For Service." Officers' Sword 1902 - Sword, US

A U.S. Model 1902 Sword for all Officers. The sword's slightly curved blade is a narrow 1/4 inch wide and measures 27 1/2 inches in length with a single edge and a 6-inch false edge. At the base is marked, "N.S. Meyer Inc. Colonial", Made in the US, this is somewhat unusual as most examples seem to be imports. The Star of David is on the obverse base. The nickeled-iron hilt has a black wooden grip and a four-branch guard. The nickel-plated scabbard has iron bands and a drag. This sword has a scabbard with two rings, also a leather fob attached to the guard. Used for ceremonial and dress uniform occasions.
