Thanksgiving menu, 1917, Machine Gun Company, 20th Infantry, Fort Douglas, Utah. Has blue string running through spine on card stock cover. Cover has two flags with eagle and a turkey on front. There are four pages inside: menu and rosters (including horses, mules, dogs and cat. Measures 4" x 5 1/2" with colored front on white card stock paper.

Plastic handguard has also been added much like the M1911A1. Has been restamped by Springfield Armory on right side of receiver about the trigger group. Auto load. Included is a standard stick magazine issue of the US Colt M1911 cal. .45 pistol parkerized black. Seven round, in-line, and detachable box magazine.

Gun, the Austrian Model 5/8, Skoda, SN 5035, has a wrought bronze barrel, horizontal sliding breech block, box trail, hydro-spring recoil system and a shield. The wheels are solid steel with Pirrelli semi-pneumatic tires 160x881, wheels are 42 1/2" diameter. The gun can be dismantled into three units for transport. There is a half fender over the forward portion of each wheel. Shell weight 8 kg/17.6 lbs. Muzzel velocity 1640 ft per second. Max range 9900 meters/10825 yards. Color is olive drab. SN 118. Mark located on top of the breech block reads: Skodawere AKT-GES. Pilsen M.25743, 8cm M5/8 Nr 5035, 1917, 347kg, Fabr. No 8572.

Helmet, Prussian, Enlisted, ca 1917, leather construction with metal reinforcement on edges and top. Spike is held on with four cotter type pins. Has a chin strap with double buckles. A large metal badge is a left facing eagle with a crown, holding runic cross type symbol in the left claw, a bird mounted sceptre and the words "MIT GOTT PUR KOENIG UND VATERLAND" on a banner across the wings and body, with large letter FR onthe eagles chest below the banner. The chinstrap is hooked to scalloped spinners on each side. The left is black and white and the right is black, white and red. Has a leather liner with a leather lace. The color is black and silver with brown colored chinstrap.

1-Embroidered sham with a WW1 theme, has the words "A Soldiers Dream." The other side is plain. It measures 20" X 16 1/2" and at one time had green tassels on each corner but now has but three. It depicts a WW1 soldier , in camp, sitting on a box dreaming of meeting his sweetheart again.

WWI, M-1917 Helmet, the "Doughboy Helmet", with 145th FA and crossed cannons barely legible on the front. The helmet liner is missing and the helmet has had a lacquer finish put on it. The term "Doughboy", was first used to refer to U. S. soldiers in the Mexican-American War of 1846-48 but was widely used to refer to American troops in World War I.
