Description Helmet, Prussian, Enlisted, ca 1917, leather construction with metal reinforcement on edges and top. Spike is held on with four cotter type pins. Has a chin strap with double buckles. A large metal badge is a left facing eagle with a crown, holding runic cross type symbol in the left claw, a bird mounted sceptre and the words "MIT GOTT PUR KOENIG UND VATERLAND" on a banner across the wings and body, with large letter FR onthe eagles chest below the banner. The chinstrap is hooked to scalloped spinners on each side. The left is black and white and the right is black, white and red. Has a leather liner with a leather lace. The color is black and silver with brown colored chinstrap.
